Who We Are
The School for Puppetry and Drama, which is located at Levinsky College, was established in 1990 and has been used since then as a national centre for teaching the art of puppet theatre.
Studies at the school are aimed at people interested in becoming expert at the art of puppet theatre and in turning it into a profession, or alternatively using puppet theatre in the field of education, theatre, therapy or community work.
With the aim of enriching the student's expertise, the school offers two additional streams of study: a stream for the art of story-telling and a stream for acting and drama. A personal study programme can be built which combines the streams and is suited to the rate of development of each student and his requirements.
Graduates of the school take part in international festivals in Israel and abroad and come within the framework of education, the community and various therapies. Our school has the best teachers, who cultivate the creative development of each student and who accompany him at every stage of learning.
The Puppet and Drama School is a home for studious and creative people who seek expression in an unconventional art which combines acting, plastic art, design and stage presentation.
The school operates in the framework of The Society for Promotion and Development of Puppet Theatre in Israel.
I invite you to join us on a journey in the world of magic and fantasy.
